If you make a change to the Statement of Fact, for example, adding a lodger or inform us that renovations are in progress etc, a £30 administration fee will apply.
Sometimes changes will result in an amendment to the premium, for example adding cover, change of address. This could mean a refund or an additional premium to pay and will be in addition to any administration fee that applies.
Changes to risk can also adjust the terms of the policy i.e. if you are going to leave your home unoccupied, the insurer may ask for increased security checks.
Full details and ways to cancel can be found on our cancellation page.

Understanding the impact of a voluntary excess on your home insurance premium is crucial for making cost-effective decisions.
Here’s what you need to know:
The effect of a voluntary excess on your premium varies among insurers. In many cases, opting for a higher voluntary excess can lead to a reduction in your overall premium.
When you choose a voluntary excess, insurers may offer lower premiums as you are agreeing to contribute more towards the cost of any potential claims.
While a higher voluntary excess can lead to premium savings, it’s essential to assess your financial capacity. Ensure you can comfortably cover both the voluntary and compulsory excess amounts if a claim arises.
Finding the right balance between the savings gained through a reduced premium and the potential financial burden in case of a claim is key. Evaluate your risk tolerance and financial situation before deciding on a voluntary excess.
Consult with your insurer to understand how different voluntary excess amounts may impact your premium. Insurers can provide personalised insights based on your specific circumstances.
Making an informed decision about a voluntary excess involves considering both potential premium savings and your ability to cover excess amounts during a claim. Reach out to us for guidance tailored to your policy and circumstances.

You will receive an email notifying you of your renewal invitation (around 1 month before it is due). This will direct you to My Account where you can review the renewal invitation including the premium for the year ahead, the insurer and the method of payment. You can also renew online (if applicable) and opt in to auto renewal.
Your renewal offer email will explicitly state whether your policy is set to auto-renew. Additionally, you can check your renewal status in My Account to see if your policy is configured for automatic renewal.
If your policy isn’t scheduled for automatic renewal, you can proceed online to review the terms, cover details, and make a payment using your card. If you decide not to renew, please inform us directly. If you pay monthly cancelling your direct debit with the bank won’t cancel the policy; you need to notify us, as we manage the policy administration.

Making a claim has never been easier – just follow these three simple steps.
Find your insurer’s claims contact details in your policy document or Schedule. Always have your policy number to hand, as it helps your insurer’s claims team quickly identify you and assist you without delay.
Call your insurer’s claims team as soon as the incident occurs. Provide a brief description of what happened and, if applicable, notify the Police within seven days for incidents like theft or malicious damage.
If required, complete and return the claim form along with supporting documents (receipts, photos, etc.) within 30 days. This ensures a smooth, timely processing of your claim.
