Family Legal Protection, often referred to as Legal Expenses Insurance (LEI) or Legal Protection Insurance, is included as standard* with our home insurance policies for no additional cost to you. Family Legal Protection provides financial cover to help you pay legal fees if you require professional legal assistance.
You have the option to upgrade to Family Legal Protection Plus for an additional cost, which provides extended cover and increased claims limits.
Legal Protection for You and Your Family
If you or your immediate family require professional legal assistance, Family Legal Protection provides up to £25,000 cover for legal expenses (whether prosecuting or defending). There is a £100 excess. Family Legal Protection Plus extends this cover limit to £50,000 and increases the range of disputes that you’re covered for.
