Home Contents Insurance

It makes sense to insure the contents of your home and your personal possessions against loss or damage, whether by fire, flood, storm or theft. With our Contents Insurance, you can rest assured knowing that you’ll be covered should the worse happen. You can specify the amount of cover you require and we’ll include accidental damage cover on some home entertainment equipment in your home, including your TV, as standard.

Contents Insurance – what’s included as standard

  • Up to £100,000 to cover loss of or damage to your household contents – increase limits if you need to.
  • Cover for high risk items such as jewellery, watches, clocks, musical instruments and works of art (maximum £2,000 per item unless specified)
  • Alternative accommodation if your home cannot be lived in following loss or damage.
  • Additional cover for your wedding day, Christmas period and other religious festivals.
  • Cover for bicycles in the home.
  • New for Old cover.

Accidents do happen

It’s a fact of life: accidents do happen. That’s why we include cover for accidental damage to certain technology and home entertainment equipment as standard. We’ll also cover you for breakage of mirrors and fixed glass in furniture.

Extended Accidental Damage cover is available to protect you against one-off incidents that cause damage to your household contents; such as a drink spilling on your carpet.

To add Extended Accidental Damage cover to your policy, simply select this option when you complete your online quote.

Protect your personal belongings outside the home

We offer additional personal belongings cover to protect your belongings and valuables outside the home. By selecting Personal Belongings cover, if your belongings are stolen, or you lose or damage them whilst you are out and about then individual items valued up to £2,000 will be covered (items over this amount will need to be specified separately).

To add personal belongings cover to your policy, simply decide how much cover you need and specify this when you complete your online quote.
