What belongings may not be covered while my child is at university?
Everyday items such as clothing, books and privately owned electronics may fall within contents cover while your child is at university, subject to the policy terms and limits.
However, money, credit cards and high-risk property are excluded from the university contents extension. High-risk property includes items such as jewellery, watches, cameras and musical instruments. Pedal cycles are also not included under standard contents cover and need separate cover.
Theft claims may not be covered unless there has been forced and violent entry into, or exit from, the building.
