Subsidence Insurance

My property had previously suffered from drain wash out leading to minor subsidence damage.  Most Insurance Companies and Brokers are not interested in quoting however, Intelligent Insurance have access to a wide range of Insurers and after a discussion with a very helpful member of Intelligent Insurance’s staff, I placed my Buildings and Contents Insurance with them, saving myself £220 against my previous Insurer in the process.  I would recommend Intelligent Insurance to all, particularly those who have a property with historical problems.

Owning a property which had subsidence in the past means insurance is always a bit of minefield.  Sorting this through the Intelligent Insurance website was simple and straight-forward and, when I got stuck on a couple of points, their call centre couldn’t have been more helpful, taking the time to go back through all the details to make sure I’d got exactly what I was looking for.  Even better, the resulting quote was way below what I was paying.  Great to have finally found an insurer who understands that subsidence can be fixed.

The house I’m purchasing underwent subsidence investigation between 2009 and 2011 with a certificate of stability issued thereafter.  Intelligent Insurance were extremely helpful and provided insurance at a very competitive rate but it was their helpfulness that really impressed me.  Good firm, highly recommended.

I went to Intelligent insurance because they specialised, among other things, in properties which have a history of subsidence. The agent was very helpful and clear and the resulting premium was significantly less than my previous insurer with slightly high cover levels. It was as they say a no brainer.

After tearing my hair out trying to get building insurance, finally found these guys and it was simple. They also had a very sensible attitude to the subsidence history (other insurers automatically increase the premium if there has been a history of subsidence, but Intelligent Insurance took into account there has been no movement for 30 years since underpinning and so it didn’t affect my premium.) Really competitive price too.

Cheapest home insurance I managed to find for buildings and contents despite of the fact that my house had suffered subsidence a long time ago. Insurance was £150 pounds cheaper than other companies. Call back option available at call centres so did not have to wait for ages waiting for someone to pick up the phone. The person who took the call was very friendly and understanding.

Got a quote online which was already half what I was currently paying, but due to having subsidence, had to call up to supply additional details. Went through my subsidence details with a helpful agent and was offered an even cheaper quote with a different underwriter. My current insurer was unable to match this quote. I was very happy with the service I received and have already recommended Intelligent Insurance to a colleague.
