Can I pay annually by direct debit?
No, we don’t offer annual direct debit payments. However, you have two options: Monthly payments: Set up a monthly direct debit with Premium Credit Ltd (PCL) After your first payment, you can choose to settle the remaining balance early Annual payment: Make a one-time payment for the full premium by card Contact us directly to arrange this before any PCL payments begin
How can I change the dates my payments come out?
Visit the Premium Credit portal to manage your payment dates online. Before you begin: Have your Premium Credit reference (starts with “D”) or Your Intelligent Insurance policy number ready Need help? Contact Premium Credit directly: Phone: 0344 736 9836 Visit their contact page online You can also use the portal to: Update your personal details Change bank details View your balance Manage missed payments
How do I manage my payment plan with Premium Credit?
You will receive access to an online account where you can check on your direct debit payments and correspondence. You can also sign your agreement and make a payment without having to register by visiting the online portal.
How does paying by direct debit work?
We use Premium Credit Ltd (PCL) to manage direct debit payments. Here’s how it works: Setting up payments: You’ll enter a credit agreement with PCL PCL will email you a link to create your online account Sign your credit agreement and view your payment schedule in your PCL account Managing your account: Visit Premium Credit’s portal to: View payment schedules Update payment details Manage your credit agreement Important: Your insurance policy and PCL credit agreement are separate Cancelling your PCL direct debit doesn’t cancel your insurance Cancelling your insurance doesn’t stop PCL payments You must cancel each agreement separately if needed For more details about the payment process, visit Premium Credit’s guide for Personal Insurance Customers.
If I pay by direct debit – what appears on my bank statement?
The words “pc/intelligent” will appear on your bank statement so you can easily identify your insurance premiums going through each month
Who are Premium Credit?
Premium Credit (PCL) is the UK’s leading insurance premium finance company who partners with us to manage your direct debit payments. They: Process all our direct debit arrangements Provide flexible payment options for insurance premiums Are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority You can learn more about Premium Credit on their website.
What can I do if I’m experiencing financial difficulty directly due to Coronavirus?
If you would like to talk about your home insurance policy because you are considering cancelling or changing it, please talk to us via live chat where we can discuss options with you. We will make every effort to find a solution for you, where possible, and ensure that you’re treated fairly. If you pay your premium monthly and are worried about making the monthly payments, you may qualify for a payment holiday of up to three months. We can’t do this here at Intelligent Insurance as it must be agreed directly with the credit provider, Premium Credit Limited.
What happens if I don’t sign my credit agreement?
If you don’t sign your Premium Credit agreement: Your first payment will still be collected Premium Credit may charge you an additional £25 fee Please sign your credit agreement promptly through the Premium Credit portal to avoid any charges.
